Fast-Burning Fire Destroys Junee House

Woman, three children escape uninjured

A woman three children managed to get out before the flames took hold of a house in Junee's Walster Street yesterday.

The blaze broke out shortly before midday and was quick to take hold, fire crews were unable to enter, and the roof collapsed within minutes.

The exact cause of the fire couldn't be determined, however it's believed to have been accidental.

Meantime, another blaze overnight saw a B-double truck on the Hume Highway catch alight.

Firefighters were called out shortly after 8pm, the truck was carrying a load of toilet paper.
