Fans React To The Umpiring In The Geelong v Port Clash

'Grand larceny'

The umpires came into focus during the last quarter of the Geelong v Port Adelaide clash at Simonds Stadium tonight.

Several calls caused controversy, but the most contentious was a call on Charlie Dixon late in the fourth term.

The umpires called Dixon to play on from a set shot despite the Port man appearing to already be in his run up to have the shot.

The Cats then took the ball up the other end and kicked the winner:

Footy fans on Twitter were quick to have their say, with most feeling that the Cats got the rub of the green.

The Cats ended up winning 11.15 (81) to 11.13 (79).
