If you’re flying in or out of Mackay Airport at this time, or dropping or picking up people at the airport, please take into account that the high level of activity in the area surrounding BB Print Stadium is going to impact traffic and the availability of taxis.

People travelling by road to or from Mackay Airport from 4:00pm on Friday should allow extra time for the trip and travel via Paget and Boundary Road East to avoid the increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic associated with the concert as much as possible.

Mackay & Whitsunday Taxis advise there will be reduced taxis available late Friday afternoon and night. Passengers arriving on the 10:20pm flight into Mackay will be particularly impacted. With little or no taxi service available, Mackay Airport Parking could be the best option whether you’re flying in or out. Book online at mackayairport.com.au

Be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to get to or from the airport and also plan ahead as mobile phone coverage may be affected by the large crowds in the area.
