GWS midfielder Dylan Shiel has chosen Essendon as his new club, according to Tom Browne.
The 25-year-old’s future has been the source of considerable scrutiny, Hawthorn, Carlton and St Kilda all vying for his services as well as the Bombers.
He flew in to Melbourne today to chat to his manager Paul Connors before making his decision.
The Giants will now work through a trade with Essendon, given that Shiel is contracted until the end of 2019.
Tom Browne says that Melbourne are more keen for Jesse Hogan to go than Freo are to pick him up.
