GWS midfielder Dylan Shiel is done for the day with concussion in the second quarter of their preliminary final clash with Richmond at the MCG.

Shiel earlier copped a high bump from Tigers captain Trent Cotchin.

Watch it here:

Shiel came to the bench in the second quarter almost in tears.

Dr Rohan White reported on Shiel’s initial injury on Triple M’s coverage.

"Theres no doubt when he came off down to the rooms, he was indicating he was having trouble probably with his vision,” Doc White said.

Shiel’s withdrawal from the game could spell trouble for Cotchin if the concussion is a result of Cotchin’s bump.

Cotchin has been fined for two separate incidents this season, so any charge of rough conduct will see him suspended.

GWS lead Richmond 5.6 (36) to 4.5 (29) midway through the second quarter.
