St Kilda defender Dylan Roberton has been ruled out for three months due to a heart condition.

Roberton collapsed on field behind play in the Saints’ loss to Geelong at Kardinia Park last month.

Today the Saints announced that the 26-year-old will miss three months as they monitor his heart condition.

The club said Roberton has had a device implanted to monitor his heart rate, and that he’ll be at the club doing light exercise and taking on an off-field role.

Roberton has played 91 games for the Saints since moving there from Fremantle in the 2012 off-season.

He made the 2017 40-man All-Australian squad.
