A group of youths have trashed the Rugby League World Cup site in Melbourne, injuring a security guard in the process.
The group, ripped all the shorts off the 14 giant statues, who are kitted out head-to-toe in the colours of the competing nations at this year's World Cup.
The thugs even ripped the shirt off the USA statue, with officials scrambling to repair the damage before media opportunities yesterday.
