Driver Charged After Fatal Crash at Blayney

To Face Orange Local Court Today

A man has been arrested and charged, following a fatal single vehicle crash that occurred earlier this month, at Blayney.

Just after 7pm on Thursday the 8th of March, emergency services were called to Millthorpe Road, following reports that a Ford Falcon had veered off the roadway into a table drain.

A 33-year-old man, who was a passenger in the vehicle was treated at the scene, before being flown to Westmead Hospital, in a critical condition.

He was later transferred to Royal North Shore Hospital , where he passed away on Friday the 16th of March.

On Sunday the 18th of March, the driver, a 55-year-old man, was arrested and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death, and negligent driving occasioning death.

The man was refused bail to front Orange Local Court Today (Monday 19th March, 2018).
