For the first time in 60 years, Italy have not qualified for the World Cup.
The Azzuri went down in a two-leg playoff to Sweden, with an outpouring of sadness and rage emanating from the proud soccer nation.
The Rush Hour's Jars & Louie thought they'd check in on their Italian mate, and Triple M Adelaide's soccer *expert*, former-Port Adelaide captain Dom Cassisi to see how he was faring.
"I tried to ring the family back over in Italy and I can't get a hold of anyone. I reckon they're all in church," Cassisi confessed to Jars & Louie.
"There'll be 60 days of mourning.
"On Christmas Day they'll all be wearing black."
Cassisi suggested a uniquely Italian way the people of South Australia can show their respect to the fallen Italian soccer side.
"If we're going to be serious about it, I reckon everyone should put a packet of pasta outside their front door," Cassisi suggested.
"Penne, gnocchi, spirali - any of it will do.
"Put our your pasta for respect."
