As the player transfer deadline of August 1 looms, a shock twist in the future of Tevita Pangai Jnr has emerged after NRL insider Dobbo reported that the out-of-favour Broncos forward is now set to join Penrith for the rest of the season.
It was reported last night that Pangai Jnr was set to join Canterbury next season on a three-year deal however, according to Dobbo, his exit from Red Hill could be within the next few days.
“He’s potentially gone from bottom of the ladder to a premiership winner within a week”
“The NRL, I believe, have put a value on him of $120,000 so Penrith have t shift some players to get him there but it’s going to happen (is) my understanding”
