North Queensland have learnt a lot of valuable lessons after another disappointing season. Finishing fifteenth in 2021 the Cowboys, under Todd Payten, will be looking to galvanise their unit this pre-season as the coach enters the second of his three-year deal.
Following the unexpected mid-season departure of co-captain Michael Morgan due to injury a three-way battle has opened to determine the halves combination with Chad Townsend, Scott Drinkwater and former Bronco Tom Dearden all putting their hands up.
Speaking on The Rush Hour Queenslander Dobbo has given his predicted line-up for the Cowboys opener against the Bulldogs on March 13th.
As for where Val Holmes is best suited, Dobbo has backed the origin star to hold down the number one jersey.
“At full back I think Valentine Holmes is a lock.”
