David Peever has resigned from his post as Cricket Australia chairman, effective immediately.
This despite Peever being appointed to a further three-year term during last Thursday's annual general meeting.
Mounting criticism from the review of corporate and on-field culture, released earlier this week, was seen as the final straw in Peever's reign.
Earl Eddings will takeover from Peever as the interim chairman.
