Daniel Ricciardo was in complete shock, when news filtered through that he would be on pole position for this weekend's Mexico Grand Prix.
The Aussie produced a sensational qualifying lap to upstage Red Bull teammate Max Verstappen who was relegated to second on the grid.
The 29-year-old, who will jump ship to Renault from the 2019 season, delivered arguably the quote of the year in his post-race interview.

"I’m tripping major nut-sack right now, shout out to the team to get a one-two," Ricciardo told Sky Sports.
"I knew it was in there somewhere, I just knew the pace was in the car, Max showed that all weekend.
"I still wasn’t convinced it was the cleanest lap, but I’ve got to relax a little."
