Triple M Footy news breaker Damian Barrett says that Ryan Burton is “very unlikely” to stay at Hawthorn.
Speaking on Trade Radio, Barrett said that Burton is weighing up his options but would want a lengthy deal to move.
Burton was reportedly devastated when his name thrown up in a potential trade for Port forward Chad Wingard, with the Hawks’ pick 15 also part of the swap.
The 21-year-old has played 47 games for the Hawks since being drafted with pick 19 in the 2015 draft.
He finished second in the 2017 Rising Star award behind Andrew McGrath.
