Police have confirmed that a critical incident investigation is underway into the barricade situation in Junee earlier this week, and that the 51 year old man at the centre of the incident, sustained an injury during the operation.
Officers were called to a hotel on Hill Street at around 9.45am on Tuesday, and commenced negotiations with the man, who was armed with a machete and another bladed weapon.
Specialist police were involved in the operation, which lasted for almost 24 hours, before the man surrendered to police at around 9am on Wednesday.
