INXS and Michael Hutchence fans have been left a little dazed and confused with weekend reports online that suggest that Hutchence left some “chilling final lyrics” in the hotel room where he sadly passed away almost 20 years ago.

The claims, made ahead of the airing of the much anticipated Hutchence documentary to be shown on the Seven Network next week, suggest that Hutchence left "…his final lyrics – written in the hotel room the night the 37-year-old rockstar’s life ended."

From the pic, the lyrics read:

That’s right take a look

New plan with a hook

Stuck into me

Reports further claim that these were the complete lyrics found on that note.

Wouldn’t be right to take it

Wouldn’t be right laying down

Sick of the dogs outside my window

That’s right take a look

New plan with a hook

Stuck into me

All the bitterness

Has started showing

Five years no one hears.

This is where INXS fans are getting a little confused, as the lyrics referenced feature in a song that Hutchence recorded for his self-titled solo album, released posthumously almost two years after his death.

The track Baby It’s Alright features the lyrics:

It wouldn't be right to take it

It wouldn't be right lying down

I'm sick of the dogs outside my window

That's right

Take a look

You've been with a hook stuck into me

Here's the song in question.

The same online reports suggest that the lyrics found in Hutchence’s room were also recorded into a dictaphone and given to his deceased estate after inquiries into his untimely death had been completed, so whether the vocals heard on Baby It’s Alright is the vocal performance from that dictaphone remains to be seen. There's every possibility.

It’s just one of the questions the new documentary promises to answer, and part 1 begins next Monday night, Channel 7, at 7.30pm.

Part Two of the documentary airs the next night, Tuesday, at the same time.
