The 2016 Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland hosted by the Lions Club of Toowoomba West has raised a record amount – all of which will be returned to the community through local beneficiaries.

Announced at the Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland Thank You function on Wednesday night, over $100,000 was raised from the 2016 event, with the three main beneficiaries – the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation, the Toowoomba Hospice and Lifeline Darling Downs and South West Queensland - each receiving $32,000.

This record-breaking outcome comes after a highly successful event in 2015 where the Toowoomba’s Christmas Wonderland raised $78,500.

Each year, the Lions Club of Toowoomba West works tirelessly to ensure the successful running of the Wonderland and to make it a truly special and iconic community event for the Toowoomba region and seeing such wonderful results for our local community organisations is what makes it all worthwhile.

A total of $854,500 has now been returned to the Toowoomba community through the nominated beneficiaries and Lions Club of Toowoomba look forward to working toward the big $1 million next year.
