Triple M's Chris Judd has formally returned to Carlton.

Judd has accepted a position on the club's board as director.

He replaces former director Adrian Gleeson, who announced his retirement from the position last night.

Judd had been nominated to fill the casual vacancy earlier this year for Gleeson's impending retirement.

Gleeson, who played 176 games for the Blues between 1976 and 1986, had served in the position for 11 years.

Judd will oversee the football and list management portfolio in his new position.

He joins Mark LoGiudice (president), Jeanne Pratt (vice president), Luke Sayers, Kate Jenkins, Zac Fried, Marcus Clarke and Craig Mathieson on the full board of directors.
