Take a collective sigh of relief, Carlton fans.

Scans taken this morning have shown that Charlie Curnow's knee injury is not as serious as first expected, revealing only bone bruising with no damage to the ligament.

Although Curnow played out the game after receiving treatment on the bench, there were fears for the worse considering the similarity of the movement to that of Alex Rance's last week which resulted in an ACL tear.

More to come.
