Wagga will host NRL Premiership games in 2019 and 2020, after Council resolved at last night’s meeting to enter into a partnership with the Canberra Raiders.
The two-year agreement will also contain the option for a third year, with each game estimated to inject $2 million into the local economy.
Mayor Greg Conkey says Council is delighted to partner with the Raiders, who are a local team for rugby league supporters, and provide development pathways for talented young players.
