Dayne Beams has been announced as Brisbane Captain by new Lions coach Chris Fagan.
The Collingwood Premiership player moved to the Lions at the end of 2014.
The Age report that it was tightly contested leadership vote between three contenders, Beams, Tom Rockliff and Dayne Zorko.
Beams only managed 2-games in 2016 due to injury.
