News is sweeping the world that The Cranberries lead singer, Dolores O’Riordan has passed away, age 46.

The news was broken by The Associated Press with the cause of death unknown.

The band have made an announcement on their official facebook page only an hour ago stating:



“Irish and international singer Dolores O’Riordan has died suddenly in London today. She was 46 years old”.



The post also notes O’Riordan was in London for a short recording session.
