A car has struck and killed pedestrians in lower Manhattan just blocks from the World Trade Centre.
The NYPD has confirmed several fatalities and multiple people injured in the "deliberate act", with terrorism being considered as a motive.
One person's been arrested while it's believed shots may have also been fired.
The truck drove the wrong way down the West Side Highway bike path for several blocks on Tuesday afternoon.
The driver then exited the vehicle with imitation guns and was shot by police.
