Local firefighters have picked up medals for their service overnight.
The Rural Fire Service’s Mid Coast District recognising the hard work of Bruce Blackburn and John Corrigan in a ceremony at Taree, alongside 85 others.
Mr Blackburn - from King Creek - receiving a national medal for going above and beyond what's expected of an RFS member.
And a big pat on the back for Mr Corrigan - of Camden Haven - honoured for 31 years on the job.
