Port Adelaide co-captain Ollie Wines is looking likely to make his return from a shoulder injury this weekend against Brisbane according to Brad Ebert.

Ollie Wines injured his shoulder in a waterskiing incident during the offseason, ruling him out of the first weeks of the 2019 season, but speaking to Roo and Ditts on Triple M Adelaide this morning, Port Adelaide teammate Brad Ebert said the hard-nosed midfielder is poised to make his on-field return this weekend against the Lions at the Gabba.

"He looks like he's ready to go," Ebert said, "So I think he should be good (to play)".

The injury news wasn't all good out of Port Adelaide though, with Ebert confirming that Power teammate Hamish Hartlett picked up a slight hamstring strain that will set him back a further 1-2 weeks from his return from the knee reconstruction he went through last season.
