Wagga City Council says work currently underway on a rail underpass represents a significant milestone in the 40 million dollar Bomen Enabling Roads Project.
Commercial Operations Manager Caroline Angel says as well as improving safety the underpass will improve freight efficiency, saving truck drivers 36 minutes on a round trip.
The underpass works are expected to be complete by April 25.
