Essendon forward Jackson Merrett was stretchered off in the VFL on Sunday, with fears he could have broken his leg.
Merrett was stretchered off in the third term after going up for a mark against Collingwood's Mason Cox.
He played no further part in the game.
The Bombers won 15.10 (100) to the Pies' 13.8 (86).
