A bomb disposal team has been called to a street in Hulme, Manchester, Greater Manchester Police say.

The north-western English city is still reeling from a terror attack at an Ariana Grande concert on Tuesday morning Australia time.

Armed cops closed off roads in the area as a helicopter circled, with a bomb disposal unit arriving later.

People were advised to avoid the inner-city area.

Initial reports were that the unit was attending an incident at a college in Trafford, but police provided an update

The police force said it was too early to say if the incident was linked to the ongoing investigation into Monday’s massacre.

22 were killed and more than 100 injured when a man detonated an improvised explosive device with nails in it at the end of the concert.

Police are holding several people in connection to the investigation.
