Wagga residents might notice something missing, with the Bolton Park plane set to be taken down temporarily, in preparation for road and water main works

Wagga City Council says the RAAF De Havilland Vampire aircraft will be inspected, cleaned and any necessary restoration will be completed, before it resumes it's position again in a fortnight.

The Vampire has been at Bolton Park since 1998, when it was presented to the city and relocated from the RAAF base at Forest Hill.
