Bob Katter Is Still Blowing Up About Slater's Snubbing

"A gross injustice"

27 May 2017

Federal Member for Kennedy Bob Katter has blown up on Triple M Saturday NRL, saying that the snubbing of Billy Slater for Darius Boyd was a "gross injustice" - to the point that he's written a formal letter to the chair of QLD to complain.

"There is a responsibility when a gross injustice occurs that it be assailed, and I think a gross injustice has occurred here," Katter said. Listen to the full report below.

"I do not want to knock Darius Boyd. I indulged myself a little bit in the press release, but he's a great player and I really respect him.

"But he's not a line breaker.

"They've got an attack machine that we haven't got. That doesn't mean that we're going to lose and I pray we don't, but this bloke if he is favoured, is not the best fullback ever.

"I would find it very hard to put anyone in front of Slater."
