Toowoomba Regional Council gardeners are busy de-budding our gardens ahead of Toowoomba’s Carnival of Flowers event next month.
The warmer than average temperatures through our winter has sped up the blooming process this year and council staff now have the task of trying to hold the process back until closer to the festival in September.
TRC Gardener Tim Rival says that the gardens are being tricked by our weather conditions and think that it is Spring therefore the plants are flowering early.
