Last nights BBL match between the Melbourne Renegades and Adelaide Strikers turned deadly as Renegades Wicketkeeper Peter Nevill was hit in the face from a flying cricket bat.
Brad Hodge had a wild swing at a ball and his bat slipped from his hands travelling some distance before hitting Nevill in the jaw.
He was rushed off the field to hospital with a suspected broken jaw.
