US-based talk-show host John Oliver has used Australia’s plain packaging cigarette laws to have a crack at the Tobacco industry.
Oliver also introduced a new character called ‘Jeff the Diseased Lung’ with the hashtag #JeffWeCan which has been trending around Australia.
Using clips from a number of Australian programs including 730 and lateline, Oliver details Australia’s plain packaging laws and the court battles which ensued.
The 18-minute clip has been an online sensation, receiving over a million views in 24-hours.
