An Aussie Cafe Is Seriously Dishing Up THIS Monstrosity Of A Meal

But why?

Every time we think hipsters have pushed it too far, a cafe will come up with a new dish to unnecessarily deconstruct.

This time around, our national breakfast is on the line thanks to Core Espresso in Newcastle, NSW.

A photo of the joint's deconstructed Vegemite on toast - served on a wooden board, naturally - was sent in to Brown Cardigan, who obviously posted it with the caption: "Alright, which one of you f*ckwit cafes did this?"

Surprisingly it wasn't Melbourne or Sydney to blame for dishing up two slices of sourdough toast, a lump of butter garnished with a leaf and a smear of the brown stuff and charging $7 for the honour.

The head barista of Core Espresso has since defended their newly famous dish, telling the Guardian Australia that she didn't understand the fuss.

"Everyone has a very specific ratio of Vegemite, butter and toast," she said. "That's the idea.

"There's lot of very offended people but it's just toast. Come on."
