The preliminary final between Adelaide and Geelong is officially sold out.

The AFL confirmed late on Thursday that the game has been sold out, with no further tickets to be released.

It leaves the game in with a chance of breaking the all-time record for highest crowd, currently held between Port Adelaide and Adelaide.

The two drew 54,468 fans for their Showdown in July 2015.

The ground has a capacity of 53,583.
