Adelaide has ended their relationship with the group that ran the controversial pre-season camp.
The Crows employed Collective Minds to help with the camp that has become infamous, with reports that the brutal nature of the camp has alienated senior and Indigenous players.
Adelaide confirmed the severing of the relationship in a press conference today.
“In the last 24 hours we’ve mutually agreed to part ways (with Collective Minds),” Adelaide head of football Brett Burton said.
“That was a mutual decision.
“We set out the initial relationship two years ago and we had some really good results last year.
“You guys would have seen it publicly, we stood in the presence stance with the 22 players in front of 3 million people Australia wide.
“Clearly we had some good impact with the program last year, but for this year it just hasn’t gone the way we wanted it to.”
While the club says there are no lingering issues from the camp, they conceded it wasn’t a success.
Burton also insisted there was no issue with the Indigenous players.
The Collective Minds website went down after the news broke, but is back up now.
Crows coach Don Pyke said the club had identified their hamstring issues and were working to sort it out.
