A 59-year-old Oakey abbatoir worker has lost his foot after a terrifying accident in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The man was transported to the Brisbane Royal and Women’s Hospital where doctors worked to re-attach the foot but unfortunately the procedure was unsuccessful.
The man’s foot was trapped in a conveyor belt as he was cleaning equipment.
He is expected to undergo more surgery today.
