A bloke has won a million dollars through the TAB today thanks to Rekindling winning the Melbourne Cup.
TAB ran a promotion to let someone pick a winner, and the guy who won picked Rekindling.
Fair to say the last 50 metres would have been VERY tense.
Rekindling got there in an absolute thriller, pipping Johannes Vermeer very late, with Max Dynamite and Big Duke rounding out the top four.
