A man from Sydney in his 60’s and a household contact tested positive to COVID on Wednesday June 16.

At 11am on Thursday June 17, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian said there had been 28 thousand COVID tests in the last 24 hours.
A total of 30 new positive cases have been discovered within those tests.
NSW Chief Health Officer Doctor Kerry Chant said, “Of the 30 new locally acquired cases to 8pm last night,28 of the cases are locally acquired and linked to the Avalon cluster. We’re having ongoing investigations into the other two cases, but they live in the Northern Beaches, very close proximity to many of the sites in Avalon”.
Until 12am on Wednesday June 23, no more than 10 people will be allowed in homes across Greater Sydney, Central Coast and Blue Mountains.
